I previously worked at Kitty Hawk as a R&D engineer. Before that, I completed my PhD in bio-inspired robotics at Stanford University. My research connected disciplines from biomechanics and evolutionary biology to design and mechatronics, and I was a teaching assistant for a course that involved aerial robot design and design thinking. Before the PhD, I worked at NASA on designing and testing sensors for studying coral reefs. I have also worked on analyses of impact investing, I have been a competitive bagpiper, and I competed in the world youth climbing championship as part of the US national team in 2011.
